After adding physical hard drive into the NAS and powering it on, we need to login through SSH to mount the hard drive:
sudo ssh email@example.com
You may need to change IP to the one you’ve configured it with.
Find-out the hard drive to mount,
fdisk -l | grep NTFS
I’m filtering NTFS as my HDD has NTFS partitions. If you don’t know exactly which format of partitions does your HDD have, ignore the second part of the command then. It will be then:
Creating the directory to mount the partition on.
Considering hard drive is /dev/sda1, I’m mounting it at path: /mnt/storage, you may need to change both paths as per your needs.
mount -t ntfs /dev/sda1 /mnt/storage
